I am not the woman I was 6 years ago, nor am I the woman I was 6 months ago. Things have changed at such a fast pace, I am still actually absorbing and settling into my current place and position in life. Is this exactly where I knew I would be back then? No, but it IS pretty darn close to what I had set out to do and be. Correction this IS where I had set out to be without a doubt. Goal setting is a great tool. It's there to use to lay out the steps in the direction you want to go....UP!

As a person, I have evolved each year, stronger, wiser more experienced. New skills set, new mindset. Now at this point in the game it's like taking a step back and looking at the whole picture and seeing how everything works together in complete synergy. Almost Matrix like, puzzle pieces fit, little details are clear. You see the bigger picture. You see how it all fits.....
I see new blood entering the fitness industry at every show, growing at a multiplying like rabbits speed. So many new people trying to find their groove and place in the big picture. It brings back those memories of when I first started out. You just wanted to know EVERYTHING! You wanted it all. Each day is a new day to press forward and chase those goals and work hard. I know how it was being that new person trying to figure out how things worked how to do what. It was trial and error, you learn along the way. Some figure it out faster, others do not. Where I am in my life and fitness career, is at the stage of sharing and giving back. I do not see it to be a disadvantage to myself to show others what I have learned. In fact I think it may have caused confusion when Chris and myself held out Stage Presentation and Posing Master Class for the WBFF a couple of weeks ago. I suppose many assumed if I was teaching, certainly I must not be competing?! Normally that is reserved for people who are not doing the show themselves. So a competitive angle would be not to share tips and instruction to those I would be competing against. Right?! Nope, not this girl. I felt it was in the best interest of the newly budding fitness community of fresh competitors to share what I have learned and to help those starting out. Who knows, I could very well be "beaten" by someone I was helping and teaching. Do I care? Not in the slightest. I see the bigger picture, I'm there to compete against myself. Helping others not only helps the newcomers, it helps me stay frosty with my own teachings my own discipline.

Even now the new developments that are underway are a throw back to what I had at one time thought.....ya I'd love to do something like that one day. One day is now here. Your mind is powerful. If you set out to accomplish your goals, take note of the thoughts that run through your head, the what ifs, the maybes. Some things come full circle in life, it's just how it works. I believe to come full circle is a solid sign of a job well done.
