About Me
| Hello! My name is Tara Thatcher. I am 30 years old and I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I was very active and athletic growing up, and after high school decided to join the Marine Corps, because I love a challenge! In the Marine Corps as a 5811, Military Police, and I wanted to be the stronger and faster so that I could be better at my job. I started lifting weights and learning more about training. After I served, I decided that I wanted to become a personal trainer. I worked at a local Bally's.
One of the other trainers took me to a local bodybuilding show, and that was where I fell in love with Figure! That was my next challenge! I started competing in 2006, where I won the tall class at my very first show, and have done 12 shows to date now! I really enjoy not only the competition itself, but the journey that I go on each time! I work as a rep for RIVALUS; a supplement company that offers not only safe, tested, but highly effective supplements! I also offer posing & presentation classes, nutrition guidelines, and figure and bikini consultations. I do work as a fitness model, as well, and have worked for companies such as Life Fitness, Gold's Gym, Gopher Sport Performance, ShopNBC, as well as being featured in Oxygen magazine and Fitness & Physique magazine. I want to be a positive roll model to other women and help others meet their goals! |
