About Me
| IFBB Steve Cook
From the time he was a little boy, Steve Cook wanted to be the best in anything he did. As the middle child in a family of seven Steve would compete his siblings in just about everything. His father was a high school basketball coach and Athletic Director who encouraged physical fitness. At a young age Steve would tag along as his father took the older children to the track, gym, or weight room. While watching TV Steve would have to preform sets of pushups during the commercials, it gave him the foundation to succeed at sports and eventually bodybuilding. As Steve entered high school his love for the weight room was evident went he broke the 9th grade bench, squat and clean record. He continued to break records through out high school and eventually bench 385 as a senior. All of the hard work in the weight room paid off on the football field where Steve excelled as a running back. His Senior year he earned All-State honors and received a College Scholarship to play football. It was durning college the Steve realized he true passion for bodybuilding. While teammates would spend only enough time in the gym to keep the coaches happy, Steve would do the teams workout and then stay long after doing extra sets for body-parts that didn't get the attended to. After a very successful collegiate career ended Steve was able to focus more on bodybuilding and diet. He enter his first competition and won he class and has hooked ever since. |
